Meryl Streep, an award winning actress, has a deep hatred for new president Donald Trump.
At the Golden Globes in January of 2017, she used her acceptance speech time to slam Trump and in this speech against trump she says, “It was that moment when the person asking to sit in the most respected seat in our country imitated a disabled reporter, someone he outranked in privilege and power and the capacity to fight back.”
Donald’s response to Meryl’s Speech came in the form of a tweet on Twitter:
Because of the actresses anger towards the current president’s response, she recently decided to join a campaign against him with fellow anti-Trump activists. She has been trying to get permits to start rallies and marches opposing Mr. Trump.
Meryl has encouraged producers and directors of the many, many works she was in to join her to try and get dates to march against Trump.
She has participated in many marches and rallies in the past, but hopes to get a movement together with her as the leader.
Streep has gone so far into this movement, that she has gotten a tattoo to prove her point. The image can be seen on her upper chest, close to her neck, and it is a capital T (standing for Trump), and there is a red circle with a slash through it.
